Restore Massage Therapy is a quiet, home-based massage therapy practice located near Kortright and Edinburgh in the south end of Guelph.

Please take a look at these notes before you book.

  • If you need urgent care please contact me directly! If you are a current or past patient I will do my best to see you within 36 hours. (Text is best for a fast reply.)

  • If you, a family member, or a close contact develops cold or flu symptoms prior to your appointment please contact Restore as soon as possible. We’ll discuss if masking or rescheduling would be appropriate depending on circumstances.

  • If the schedule shows ‘Contact to Book’ it means that I am available during this shift but require more control over my schedule at that time.

  • I do offer a flex start appointment to new parents because newborns create extra challenges for scheduling. Please contact me directly for more information or to book your flex appointment! ** This appointment type may have some restrictions for when it can be scheduled.

  • Restore is a mask-friendly office. I am happy to wear a mask when requested, no questions asked.

  • My location does have stairs. If this will prevent you from receiving treatment here then let me know and I will do all I can to either accommodate you or refer you to another therapist that can. If you have mobility issues that create a challenge getting changed or on/off the table please book an appointment duration 15 minutes longer than you want for your treatment. (You will not be charged for this extra time.) The treatment room is equipped with a Hi/Lo table.

Rebecca’s journey as a Massage Therapist began in January 2000 after graduating from Sutherland Chan in Toronto.  Having fallen in love with Guelph while attending university, she returned there to establish her practice.  Over her career, Rebecca has primarily operated as a solo practitioner. However, she also enjoyed the time she spent working in multidisciplinary and physiotherapy settings very much.

When the clinic she was associated with closed in 2019, Rebecca made the decision to return to independent practice.  The name ‘Restore’ was a deliberate choice, as she felt that it embodied the power of massage therapy.  Massage is about physical restoration but also about restoring balance, energy, and a sense of well-being.

Rebecca’s treatment style is best described as highly adaptable. She is proficient in both superficial and deep tissue release, and her treatment goals can range from purely therapeutic to purely relaxation-focused, with most clients falling somewhere in between.   This adaptability is reflected in her practice, where she customizes her techniques based on the response of the muscles and the preferences of the patient.  Her focused and thorough approach ensures that all muscles in a functional group contributing to pain or dysfunction are identified and addressed, along with any secondary issues that may be exacerbating the problem.
